Kameke Village is located in Kameke sub-county, Pallisa county, Pallisa district. The community are of the Iteso who speak Ateso. There is need for eduction for the children, control and prevention of HIV/AIDS infection, there is need to practice better agricultural methods and reproductive health. So far, education has started from Nursery to Primary two, our hope is to grow progressively up to Primary seven. Bricks have been made amounting to 30,000; trips of sand have been downloaded, required timber is already in place and we are hopeful that the rest that is needed will also fall in place.
There are many children of school age in our area. The already available school are very crowded and teacher to pupil ration is very low. Therefore,Good Shepherd Nursery and Primary School comes in to tackle these problems. Already just Nursery and Primary two has realized 150 children among them are orphans,needy and the vulnerable. Therefore, there is a need of building a school where these children can stay and study in comfortably.We ask friends and neighbours to give us ideas, prayers on our vision.
